ABOUT

The concept of TCGs or Trading Card Games sounds complicated but really isn't. Everything that you need to know about Divinity and how it works can be found in this section. If you have played a TCG before most of this is the same old stuff, yet some of the following explains things only relative to Divinity.

TCG?

As mentioned above, TCG means Trading Card Game. This online concept of the age old physical card games was created by the wonderful Calico. Divinity is a TCG dedicated to all those delicious bishounen found within anime, manga, and games. The more cards you gain the higher up in level you rise. The level you are on can be displayed via a Banner. The levels are mentioned below which is based on card worth:

LEVEL

CARD WORTH

ZERO Waiting to add/hold
ONE 1-250
TWO 251-600
THREE 601-1000
FOUR 1001-1400
FIVE 1401-1900
SIX 1901-2400
SEVEN 2401-3000
EIGHT 3001+

As you rise in levels you obviously gain cards and can then trade them off to other members to get a complete deck, or master a deck. When you do this you get a master card to show you have mastered that deck and move on to trying to master the next deck by gaining and trading with members. To see how to gain and trade, keep reading!

GAINING

There are many ways to gain cards and I outline them below and what the card reward is.

JOINING : When you first join you will get 2 cards from your deck of choice and 10 random cards in the starter pack. This is what will get you started on trying to master your first deck and gives you some cards to help you trade!

GAMES : There are many games offered on this site that will give you cards when you accomplish the tasks they ask of you. Some are harder and require anime/manga knowledge while others are simple and fun games that anyone can accomplish with a little time. A lot of the games are password protected and will take you to rewards that you can add right away to your collection (simply save the card(s) offered, and please don't press refresh and play only ONCE per round!). Other games are email forms so will take a little longer for the staff to reply or you may have to wait until the end of the round.

LEVEL UP : As I mentioned above, there are different levels in Divinity and everytime you level up, you get cards!

  • Levels TWO-SIX gives you 6 random and 2 choice
  • Levels SEVEN-EIGHT gives you 6 random and 3 choice
  • Every 600 cards after you hit level EIGHT (i.e. 3600) gets you another 3 choice cards and 6 random
You do NOT need to send in a form for when you move from ZERO to ONE since that is part of telling me you added your cards, which gives you two random cards.

DONATE : You can get various amounts of cards from donating images for card decks. It is further explained Here.

MASTERING : When you master you don't get only a master badge but cards also! Most decks offer more than 1 master badge as an option, but please choose only 1.

  • Regular deck masters receive 6 random cards and 2 choice cards
  • Member Card masters receive 4 random and 1 choice card
  • Special deck masters receive 10 random and 3 choice cards
  • Theme deck masters receive 4 random and 1 choice card
  • 3 Theme deck masters receive 3 choice cards
You cannot trade any of the mastered deck off, yet you still count them towards your total card worth.

REFERRALS : For every person you refer you will get 1 choice card!

BIRTHDAYS : We like to celebrate your birthday by giving you 3 choice cards and 6 random. You can grab your prize from the Birthday Page when it is the month of your Bday.

FREEBIES : I will randomly give away freebies which will be one of the easiest ways to get cards. I will announce when you get a freebie on the Main Page. I will usually give them away for holidays and when I have added a new deck. If you have joined after I have given away freebies feel free to take them as long as they are on the main page update.

CARD TYPES

There are two different types of decks offered on Divinity, Regular and Special. Regular cards are all worth one and are what the bulk of the rewards on Divinity will offer. Regular decks constitute both Character and Series decks. Special cards are worth 2 and are more rare and harder to collect, thus, gives you a larger reward for mastering. You can also gain special cards by using 2 choice cards or 2 choice certs.

CERTIFICATES

Besides cards I also give out certificates (You can view an example Here). These can be traded in for cards at the Certificate Exchange or you can use them to trade for other certificates and cards that you may need more. The certs that are marked as choice cards are for regular decks (cert03, cert04, & cert05) while the ones marked with choice special are for special decks (cert01 & cert02).

TRADING

After you have gained new cards you can start trading with Members. To do so simply go to the members list and to each member's website that is listed. Search through their cards until you find one you want and see if you have a card they may want in exchange. Most members have a trade form, if not, simply email them the trade. WAIT for them to reply with positive or negative. If positive they should attach the card in the email and you reply with the attached card you are trading to them. REMOVE the card you traded off and add the new card you traded for. Be sure to update your trade log!

WEBSITES

When playing a TCG you need a website to display your cards with. Please don't use Deviantart or anything that requires a password. You can get a free easy-to-make website from LiveJournal, Freewebs, or Geocities. Some basic things that you should have on the site is of course the cards you have gained/earned. You should organize the cards and mark which cards you wish to keep and which you wish to trade. A banner or button that links back to Divinity is welcome. A trade/gain log is needed to show where you have gotten the cards from. Your name so people can know who to refer as well as either a trade form or an email address to use when trading. Sounds hard? It isn't! You can view an example of a card page Here

CuteNews

Due to the comment system on CuteNews being spammed by bots, Divinity requires commenters to be registered before commenting. When you join and upload your starter pack to your trading post, I will register you with your member name as the username and member as the password (i.e. username: Trinity password: member). If you want a different password, please tell me and I can change it to what you request.

Now that you have read the about section (if you haven't, pretend you have!) you can head on over to the Join section to read some of the rules Divinity has and if you would like, join.
